Chris' parents flew in from Montana and his sister from Boca Raton. So happy they came out. Such a huge help. We had about 80% of our stuff packed. The other 20 was little things. Its amazing how many 'little things' you accumulate over time. Anyways, long story short is that I intended to be on the road in the a.m Sunday morning. That is not what happened. We ended up getting the truck at 7pm on Sat. night due to miscommunication on the Budget rental guy which had Chris and I, not to mention my brother, loading the truck till 4am in the morning. That said, and on only 2 hours of sleep, we finally pulled away from Los Angeles. Only to reach Las Vegas, or as I like to call it: L.A. 2.0. Only four hours of drive time that night. Ended up at a hotel/casino. I won 136.00 on a penny slot. Yay me. Sneaking the cats in and out of the hotel was a challenge but a challenge met.
